Our Story
Growing up in the south gave us an appreciation for live music, sports, and good times with friends. After college we both jumped into corporate America, started businesses, and started families. Life was great, but we both felt that we were missing passion in our careers and needed to pave our own way.
As all good stories between friends start, while grabbing a few beers after work, we got to thinking… why not start a business that we really enjoyed and represented our heritage. After lots of ideas, we looked at our busy lives and identified a problem that we both ran into nearly every day. We wanted a shirt that fit in the office but was versatile enough to wear in any other setting. This idea inspired us to modernize an iconic shirt to fit the needs of our busy lives, the American pearl snap shirt.
Modernizing the pearl snap shirt meant that we had to increase fabric quality, create better fits, and offer new stitching options in addition to the traditional western look. Ultimately, we wanted to build a better pearl snap that could be worn to the office, traveling, happy hours, concerts, and Saturdays with friends. Versatility and quality in clothing was important to us so we set out to transform the iconic pearl snap into a staple for every man’s wardrobe.
